The Moroccan national team under 17 years old began its journey in the U-17 World Cup with a loss against its Japanese counterpart, with a score of 0-2, in the match that took place today, Monday, as part of the first round of the group stage.

The match, held at the Aspire Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, was characterized by intense competition during the first half, where the score remained goalless due to a clear defensive caution from the national team, contrasted with sporadic Japanese attempts that posed no real danger.

At the beginning of the second half, the Japanese team managed to open the scoring in the 57th minute through player Taiga Sukoshi, taking advantage of a defensive mistake from the Moroccan defense.

While the Atlas Cubs tried to come back in the game, the Japanese team succeeded in adding the second goal in the 90+8 minute through Diago Hirashima, thus securing the match points in their favor.

With this result, the Japanese team tops Group B with 3 points, while the Moroccan team sits at the bottom of the group without any points, awaiting its upcoming matches in the first round.
