According to the video that circulated on the X platform, Vinicius was heard saying in one of the clips: "It seems we don't want to win today," referring to his dissatisfaction with the Spanish coach's substitutions and decisions during the match.

The match saw a performance below expectations from the royal players, amid widespread criticism from the Spanish media regarding Alonso's handling of the game as well.

The coach made four substitutions by bringing in Militao, Rodrygo, Ceballos, and Arnold, but all of them came too late, except for Militao's entry at the start of the second half. Meanwhile, Endrick and Gonzalo Garcia were not brought on despite the team's need for a win.
