The Spanish radio station "Cadena SER" revealed that there is tension in the Real Madrid locker room, as coach Xabi Alonso has lost his authority following his dispute with Brazilian player Vinicius Junior.

The report added that the Brazilian star had sparked controversy after being substituted in the Clasico against Barcelona, as he expressed his anger and frustration over the Spanish coach's decision, before later apologizing for his behavior.

Sources confirmed that the club did not support Alonso during that period, which weakened his position within the team. Meanwhile, Vinicius's agent warned the club's management, saying: "Either he plays as a starter, or his contract will not be renewed."

According to the report, since then, Xabi has relinquished part of his authority, and Vinicius has been participating consistently, which has affected the coach's ability to enforce his decisions within the team.

Vinicius's contract ends in 2027, and there has not yet been an agreement to renew it, which raises speculation about the future of the Brazilian star, amid interest from several clubs in acquiring his services.
