Monday 10-11-2025
Barcelona's head coach, Hans Flick, expressed his happiness with his team's 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo in the match held at Balaídos as part of the twelfth round of La Liga, confirming his satisfaction with the players' performance and the team's improvement in the second half.

Flick stated in his remarks after the match: "I am very satisfied with the team and happy with what we presented. In the first half, we made some mistakes, but we improved a lot in the second half and defended better. There were also positive aspects from the start; we played a good match with the ball and deserved to win."

The German coach added: "Football does not recognize the past, and what we showed in the second half gives us confidence for the future. We focus only on ourselves, and the players executed the pressure on the opponent wonderfully. I believe the performance in the second half was extremely special."

He continued: "We focus on our work, but it's good to put pressure on the competitors. Winning before the international break is very positive for the team, and I am happy with the rhythm we showed."

Regarding Lewandowski's brilliance, who scored three goals in the match, Flick said: "It's too early to talk about the future, but everyone knows his importance. I saw a different version of him today, more positive. He returned ahead of schedule, which was important for him and for us as well. He scored three goals and proved to be a decisive factor like last season."

On the absence of De Jong in the next match, Flick commented: "He had a great game today and controlled the flow of play. He is a very important player for the team. It's unfortunate that we won't have him in the next match, but we will deal with the situation and hope for the return of Raphinha, Pedri, and Juan Garcia soon."

The Barcelona head coach concluded his remarks by saying: "It's better to go into the break as winners. I am very proud of the team and the way we achieved victory today. We know there is a lot of noise around us, but we are on the right track both in La Liga and the Champions League."
