Sarri: We Performed Well, But We Face Difficulty in the Striker Position
Friday 14-11-2025
After the defeat against Inter with a score of 2-0, Lazio's coach Maurizio Sarri spoke about the team's performance and its current situation in the Italian league.

Sari said: "When you enter San Siro and concede an early goal, the situation becomes difficult. However, we entered the match and created some opportunities. I'm sorry that the two goals came from naive ball losses; this leaves a bitter taste despite the fact that we performed well."

He added about the lack of a central striker: "Right now, we don't have a traditional striker. The only one who can play that role is Castellanos, while the others are all young and interpret the role differently, and we are paying the price for this inside the penalty area."

Sari spoke about the team's mentality and positive aspects: "The team is improving in terms of mentality. After the goal, we could have mentally collapsed, but we didn't. We rely on the positive aspects to move forward."

The coach continued: "When you face a series of accumulating difficulties, you either collapse or you react. The players have done well in handling that."

Sari concluded his remarks by saying: "As for the return of the injured players, I can't provide any timelines. There is hope, and we will see."
