Ahmed Abdel Raouf's Statements After Zamalek's Loss of the Super Cup Title
Sunday 09-11-2025
Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the coach of Zamalek, spoke about his team's loss of the Egyptian Super Cup title to Al Ahly.

Zamalek lost to Al Ahly with a score of 2-0 in the final match of the Egyptian Super Cup, which took place on Sunday evening at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE.

Abdul Raouf said at the press conference after the match: "Thank God for everything. We hoped to achieve victory and make the fans happy, and I congratulate Al Ahly Club on winning the title."

He added, "We got into the game late, and the injury to Mohamed Ismail and some other players was a problem for us. Additionally, Juan Bezerra was supposed to play only one half, but unfortunately, the team conceded a goal at a difficult time just before the end of the first half."

He continued: "We didn't plan to involve Ahmed Sherif for a long time due to his return from injury. We talked a lot about Al Ahly's goal, as they executed it multiple times. But in the end, thank God for everything. What saddened me the most was our inability to make Zamalek's fans happy."

He affirmed: "We strive to be better in the upcoming period, and the Super Cup matches are not the end of the journey; we still have a long way to go in the league, and we are competing strongly in it."
