Hossam Yakin Criticizes Zamalek Management

Hesham Yaken, the former star of Zamalek, has criticized the club's management, asserting that the White Castle is neglecting its youth sector and homegrown talents. He pointed out that the club is holding onto certain players without clear reasons or a future plan.

Yakan stated on his official Facebook page: "Zamalek is neglecting its youth sector, the club's own kids, while holding on for forty years. And Sayed Gaafar, who had no role last season. Can someone really explain to us what the plan is or what your ideas are, because we truly cannot comprehend the genius with which Zamalek is being managed right now."

The former Zamalek star questioned the club's position on Juan Bezera, stating: "Why refuse to sell Bezera for $6 million, while resolving the registration crisis and signing new players, when you sold Dunga and Nasser Maher mid-season due to financial issues?" He criticized what he described as contradictions in the club's management decisions in recent times.

Zamalek will face Al Ittihad in the opening round of the Egyptian Premier League on Friday, August 21.
