A New Blow for Sfaxien.. FIFA Reimposes Transfer Ban

The International Football Federation (FIFA) imposed a new transfer ban on the Club Sportif Sfaxien today, Monday, after receiving an official notification regarding the financial dues owed to former Portuguese player Pedro Sa.
According to the decision issued by FIFA's Dispute Resolution Chamber, the ban will be enforced over three consecutive transfer periods, starting from October 30, which means the team will be prohibited from making transfers during the current transfer window and the upcoming seasons unless the financial situation is resolved.
Officials at the Sfaxien club expect additional penalties from the international federation during the period from this date until the next winter transfer market, exceeding one million Tunisian dinars, due to financial disputes related to several international cases, most notably the dues of the former Portuguese coaching staff led by Alexandre Santos.
These developments come at a time when the Sfaxien club is striving to overcome its financial and administrative crises that have impacted its results in the Tunisian Professional League this season.
