Ali Maaloul, former Al Ahly player and current CS Sfaxien player, spoke about his time playing for the Reds, his relationship with the fans, and other matters.

Maaloul said in an interview with 'Hashtag Media Tunisia' on the 'YouTube' platform: 'Ali Maaloul, the King of Solutions, is a name that was given to me in Egypt and is now being circulated in Tunisia. I love this title and hope it will always be associated with me.'

He added: 'With the Tunisian national team, I played a large number of matches and participated in the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup, but I always aspire to achieve what I lack, and I see that I need to win a title with the national team.'

He continued: 'Fame in Tunisia is not like fame in Egypt; fame in Egypt is bigger, especially in a big club like Al Ahly, mainly due to the large number of fans who love their favorite team's players, whereas in Tunisia, the mentality is more challenging.'

He also said: 'The best match of my career? The match between Al Ahly and Sundowns in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League in 2020, where I scored two goals in the first leg and one in the return leg. I can say that one of my best goals was against Al Ahly Bank from a free kick.'

He concluded: 'I feel satisfied with my decisions and do not regret not going professional in Europe. Al Ahly club is not much different from European clubs; it is like a European club within Africa, and I have achieved many titles with them, including four in the Champions League.'
