Bashir Al-Tabi: Zizo is going through one of the toughest periods of his football career
Bashir Al-Tabi, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that Ahmed Sayed Zizo, the Al-Ahly star, is experiencing tremendous pressure both on and off the field recently.
The match between Al-Ahly and Al-Masry ended in a goalless draw on Sunday evening as part of the 13th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Tabi stated on the "Number One" program on CBC channel: "Zizo's miss of the penalty against Al-Masry is a natural outcome given his current psychological state."
He added: "The player is under tremendous pressure that could make him quit football, and I wished he had scored the penalty to avoid being in a difficult position in front of the fans."
Al-Tabi confirmed that Turab, the coach of the Reds, chose the best lineup for the match against Al-Masry, but the team was not fortunate in finishing their chances.
