Walid Salah El-Din: We Will Take the Entire Al-Ahly Team to the UAE
Walid Salah El-Din, the football director at Al-Ahly club, revealed Imam Ashour's status regarding traveling with the team to the UAE in preparation for the Egyptian Super Cup, scheduled to take place between November 6 and 9.
It is worth noting that Imam Ashour has been absent from participating in Al-Ahly matches due to a viral infection, while the latest tests on the player have shown improvement in his condition and his proximity to returning.
Walid Salah El-Din stated that there is a joint decision between the management and Danish coach Jes Torup regarding taking all injured players, including Imam Ashour, with the team's delegation heading to the UAE.
He explained: "This decision is not related to any specific player, but we want to include the injured players so that they are not away from us for a period of 8 days, and thus we will take the entire team with us to the UAE, and the medical, recovery, and rehabilitation staff will also be present."
