Spanish radio station "COPE" reported that the Spanish Football Federation's competition committee decided to reject the appeal submitted by Real Madrid against the red card given to Andriy Lunin.

The Ukrainian goalkeeper was sent off at the end of the classic match, which concluded with Real Madrid defeating Barcelona 2-1 in the tenth round of La Liga.

According to the referee's report, Lunin was suspended for one match due to his aggressive behavior towards the Barcelona bench after the final whistle, as he was sent off immediately following the incident.

Real Madrid had submitted an appeal asserting that Lunin did not act aggressively, but rather intervened to defend his teammate Vinicius Junior during a scuffle with some Barcelona players; however, the committee rejected the appeal and upheld the punishment.
