Shobair Comments on Al Ahly's Complaint Against the Senegalese Referee
Media figure Ahmed Shobair commented on Al Ahly's complaint against the Senegalese referee who officiated the match between Eagle Noir in the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.
Shobair said in radio statements: "If this incident happened in Europe, the suspension would be lifted, and the referee would be suspended, and things would end quickly, but in Africa, I can't guarantee you anything."
He added: "Come on, yesterday the goalkeeper of the Libyan Ittihad team hit Salah Mohsen, the striker of Al Masry, and Salah did not respond with the same force, something similar to what happened with Gradi Shar, but the referee warned the goalkeeper and sent off Salah Mohsen, so African refereeing is extremely poor."
Shobair concluded: "I expect that CAF will only suspend Gradi Shar for one match, and this referee will definitely be suspended, but the referees committee in the African Federation has been removed, and those coming in still don't know anything, and I hope things get sorted out because this is very ridiculous."
