Mohamed Abdel Jalil: There are questions about Torop's changes
Mohamed Abdel Jalil, former star of Egyptian football, criticized Al Ahly coach Yess Torop's changes in the match against Al Ittihad Al Sakandari.
Al Ahly won against Al Ittihad with a score of 2-1 in the 11th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Abdel Jalil said on the program "Number One" on CBC channel: "Al Ahly's performance is physically declining due to the fitness coach who was with Ribeiro, and the team retreats after 60 minutes."
He added: "Al Ahly was playing against Al Ittihad without a left-back, as Trezeguet or Ben Sharqi were performing defensive duties and assisting Ahmed Nabil Koka."
He continued: "Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan's level declined in the second half, and it would have been better to include Afsha in the second half, and there are questions about Yess Torop's changes."
He concluded: "Marwan was substituted due to receiving a yellow card, so Torop should have replaced Koka as well due to receiving a yellow card before he was sent off."
