Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição, the head coach of Al-Ittihad Saudi Club, stressed that the team is undergoing a positive transformation since he took over the coaching role, explaining that current efforts are focused on enhancing the players' mental and physical readiness to regain full balance.

Conceição explained during the press conference ahead of the clash against Al-Hilal in the sixth round of the Roshan Saudi League that the start was difficult due to many points needing correction, noting that he has sensed a strong commitment from the players and a clear desire to improve.

The Portuguese coach pointed out that the pressure of matches represents a real challenge for the team, saying: "We face strong teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr in close intervals, yet we are working to prepare the group in the best possible way. I wish we had more time for in-depth tactical work."

Conceição added: "I do not have a magic wand to change things overnight, but we are rebuilding the team's spirit and reviving the desire among the players. I do not differentiate between local or foreign players; everyone is equal in my eyes, and those who prove their readiness will get the opportunity."

The coach revealed that his tactical approach relies on high pressing and fast play, which requires significant physical effort from the players, saying: "Our training is intensive because we want to implement a style based on strength and speed. Al-Hilal is a distinguished team, and their coach is of high caliber, but we share the same ambition."

Regarding the status of the duo Karim Benzema and Steven Bergwijn, Conceição clarified that the decision about their participation will be determined before the match, confirming that both have made good progress in their rehabilitation program and are in a better condition.
