Absence of Gnabry and Stanisic Against Club Brugge
Tuesday 21-10-2025
The German newspaper "Bild" reported that Bayern Munich will face significant difficulties in the UEFA Champions League match against Club Brugge due to the absence of star players Serge Gnabry and Josip Stanisic.

The newspaper confirmed that 30-year-old Serge Gnabry will not be fit to participate in the match scheduled for Wednesday evening due to issues with his inner thigh muscles. The player missed the final training session on Tuesday and instead completed a 30-minute session on the side field under the supervision of the new rehabilitation manager, Benjamin Sommer, who joined the team last August from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The newspaper added that 25-year-old Josip Stanisic, who has been suffering from a partial tear of the internal ligament in his right knee for five weeks, only participated in half of the final training session, then continued rehabilitation exercises for 40 minutes on the side field, focusing on short runs and loading the injured knee. The training showed some minor issues for the player.

The newspaper clarified that coach Vincent Kompany confirmed in the press conference that neither player will participate in the match against Club Brugge, stating: "Both will not participate tomorrow, clearly and simply."
