Müller: Barcelona Would Have Made Me Decide to Stay in Europe
The German star Thomas Müller, forward for Vancouver in the US league, spoke about his readiness to play for Barcelona if they tried to sign him in the summer.
Müller stated: "I wanted to leave Europe (after leaving Bayern Munich), perhaps I had one or two options in mind to stay there."
He continued: "If, for example, Hans Flick had called me and I liked the role he was offering me at Barcelona, I might have accepted that. Here, you are going to a big club, and you know what people expect from you."
He added: "The Barcelona fans don't have many good memories of me. I met some of them here, but they were all very nice to me."
