Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes expressed his happiness after winning against Liverpool with a score of 2-1 in the eighth round of the Premier League.

The player said: "It's always great to win matches, especially such encounters that mean a lot to the club and our fans, and to us as players at this stage."

He added: "We knew very well the importance of this match for the fans and the club, and we wanted to win because we hadn't achieved victory at Anfield for a long time, so I am very happy that we did it today."

He continued: "We knew we needed to win the individual battles. In the first ten minutes, we expected them to start strong, and during the first half, we realized they were under a lot of pressure when they had the ball, as the crowd was pushing them to play faster."

He concluded: "We tried to slow down their rhythm and succeeded in exploiting the large spaces in the midfield. In the second half, we could have kept the ball better, but the most important thing is that we came away with the victory."
