FIFA has announced the appointment of Italian referee Maurizio Mariani to officiate the final match of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will bring together the Moroccan national team and their Argentine counterparts.

According to information obtained by "Al-Batalah" newspaper from a private source, the officiating crew will include Italian duo Daniele Bendoni and Alberto Tigon as first and second assistants.

The FIFA Referees Committee has also assigned the roles of fourth and fifth officials to Americans Joe Dickerson and Logan Brown, forming a complete international officiating team overseeing the anticipated World Cup clash.

The final match between the young Atlas Lions and the tango dancers is expected to take place in the early hours of next Monday (00:00 GMT +1) at the Julio Martínez Prádanos Stadium in the Chilean capital, Santiago.

This encounter is historic for Moroccan football, as the Moroccan U-20 team is playing its first-ever World Cup final against an Argentine team regarded as one of the leading schools of football in the world.
