The Moroccan U-20 team has achieved a new historic accomplishment added to its football achievements, after qualifying for the final of the U-20 World Cup – Chile 2025, following their thrilling victory over the French team in a penalty shootout (5-4), after the two teams drew (1-1) in regular time on Wednesday evening.

The match witnessed a dramatic scenario that held the fans' breath until the last moments, before the Atlas Cubs managed to decisively conclude the confrontation with great nerves, reaching the first global final in the history of Moroccan football at this age category.

The reactions in the French media reflected the shock caused by the elimination, as the newspaper "L'Équipe" titled: "The End of the Dream.. France Suffers a Harsh and Painful Defeat to Morocco."

Meanwhile, RMC Sport described the match as: "A Harsh Scenario for the Blue Team that Exited the Semi-Final in Penalties."

The newspaper "Le Parisien" wrote: "An Emotionally Charged Match.. The Youngsters Crumbled Under Pressure, Allowing Morocco to Advance."
