Al-Ghandour said on Facebook: "There is no starting player from Zamalek in the match against Egypt and Guinea-Bissau, and also no starting player from Zamalek in the second national team match against Bahrain. This is not a complaint but rather a strange statistic that rarely happens or has never happened before, especially since Zamalek is one of the two poles of Egyptian football."
The Egyptian national team is set to face Guinea-Bissau today, Sunday, in the tenth and final round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup at 10 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
The Egyptian team secured qualification for the World Cup finals from the previous round against Djibouti after winning 3-0.
