Friday 12-06-2026
The Egyptian national team is preparing to play a match against its counterpart, the Belgian national team, next Monday in the first round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

The national team will conduct its main training session at 10 PM Cairo time at Gonzaga Stadium, which is the same time scheduled for the kickoff of its anticipated match on June 15, marking the opening of the group stage competitions.

The coaching staff, led by the twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, aims to hold the training at the same time as the match to acclimate the players to the timing of the encounter and ensure they reach the highest levels of physical and mental readiness before the anticipated match.

The Egyptian national team is in Group G alongside the teams of Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.

The Pharaohs hope to make a strong appearance at the start of their World Cup journey, especially since the match against Belgium represents an important step in the race to qualify for the next round, amid great public aspirations for the Pharaohs to achieve an ideal start on the global stage.
