Gerrard Approaches Rangers Coaching Position
Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Steven Gerrard is close to returning to coach the Scottish club Rangers, with negotiations between the two parties progressing well and expected to continue throughout this week.
Romano explained that the initial discussions over the past 24 hours have been very positive, prompting the Rangers management to schedule a new meeting with Gerrard to discuss the final details of the contract and future work plan.
Gerrard previously managed Rangers from 2018 to 2021, winning the Scottish league title in the 2020-2021 season, ending Celtic's historic dominance in the competition.
It is worth noting that Gerrard is currently without a club after leaving Saudi Arabia's Al-Ettifaq last January.
