Chelsea's Stance on Signing Guehi in January
Friday 14-11-2025
The British newspaper "Express" reported that Chelsea Football Club does not plan to move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi during the upcoming winter transfer window in January.

This decision comes despite the significant crisis the team is facing in defense, as coach Enzo Maresca is currently missing five central defenders due to injuries: Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, and Josh Achiampong.

The newspaper added that despite these significant absences, it does not seem that the management of the London club intends to move to sign Guehi in the winter, which means that Maresca will have to rely on the available solutions until the injured players return.

It is worth noting that Guehi's contract with Crystal Palace ends at the end of the current season, amid interest from several clubs in signing him, most notably Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.
