Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella expressed his great happiness with the precious victory over Liverpool 2-1 in the dying moments, in the seventh round of the Premier League.

Regarding the difficult circumstances the team went through: "We deserved this moment. It wasn't an easy week for us. With the Champions League, we play every few days, and that's good because if you lose, you have another match after a few hours. In the middle of the week, we suffered in the final minutes, but we created this momentum with the support of our fans. And today we started the match the right way and scored an early goal, which gave us confidence."

On the difficulty of achieving stability amidst numerous injuries: "It's not easy. We had to change players for different reasons, but we showed today that it doesn't matter. There are no excuses, we have the quality and we are a good team."

About the decisive goal in the last moments: "We know that Salah is always ready for counter-attacks, so we trained on this matter, and the coach told us that space might be available on the right side of Liverpool's defense. We saw that it was the last minutes, but we continued to attack. I tried my best, and Enzo passed me the ball, and I sent the cross from which Estefao scored the winning goal."
