Walid Regragui Sends a Message to the Youth National Team After Qualifying for the Round of 16 in the World Cup
The national coach Walid Regragui congratulated the players of the Moroccan under-20 team after their qualification for the Round of 16 in the ongoing Youth World Cup in Chile, confirming that the door to the senior national team remains open for outstanding players.
Regragui said during a press conference: "We woke up to watch the match, and I congratulated the players with a special message. I also thank coach Mohamed Wahbi for his great work; despite losing the Africa Cup, he proved his worth in the World Cup."
He added: "I hope Wahbi wins the title because he deserves it, and what makes me happier is that we no longer suffer from an inferiority complex; we have defeated Brazil in the senior, Olympic, and even youth teams."
He concluded his remarks by saying: "Anything is possible, and every player is fighting for their chances to join the senior team. Who knows? They might win the title and force me to call up one or two players or even the entire team."
