Spanish newspaper 'Sport' reported that Paris Saint-Germain is closely monitoring the situation of defender Eric Garcia with Barcelona, especially since his current contract ends on June 30th, while negotiations for renewal are still ongoing without reaching a final agreement.

The newspaper clarified that Garcia, who has become a key player under coach Hans Flick after returning from a loan to Girona, wishes to continue with Barcelona and is not considering any other offers, while Paris Saint-Germain is anticipating developments in the negotiations in case they can negotiate with him freely after three months.

The newspaper confirmed that Flick considers Garcia a fundamental pillar and is demanding a contract extension as soon as possible, while Barcelona plans to offer a new contract extending until 2030, amid expectations to resolve the matter before January to avoid any external interference.
