Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya achieved a sweeping victory over its host Al-Qasim with a score of 5-0, in the match that brought the two teams together at Al-Najaf International Stadium, as part of the 27th round of the Iraqi Stars League, allowing the 'Falcons' to continue soaring at the top and deepening the wounds of Al-Qasim at the bottom of the standings.

Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya entered the confrontation with the mentality of securing points early, and did not delay in translating its superiority into a leading goal in the 9th minute by Issam Al-Sabhi, giving his team an ideal start that confused the hosts' calculations. The early goal forced Al-Qasim to play under pressure, while granting the Falcons greater comfort in controlling the pace of the game.

Al-Qasim's attempts to return remained timid and did not rise to the level of a real threat to Al-Jawiya's goal, amid clear defensive organization from the leader. In the 90th minute, Ruslan Hanoun concluded the Falcons' quintet by scoring the fifth goal from the penalty spot, after which the referee blew the final whistle with a sweeping 5-0 victory for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.

With this wide victory, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya raised its tally to 63 points, reinforcing its lead in the Iraqi Stars League standings, confirming it as the strongest candidate for the title this season. The Falcons delivered a complete offensive performance and controlled the match in length and breadth, especially in the second half, which witnessed a complete quartet.

In contrast, Al-Qasim's tally froze at just one point in the 20th and last place, drawing very close to officially relegating to the Iraqi Premier League, amid continuous negative results and receiving another five-goal defeat added to a series of heavy losses this season. The team needs a mathematical miracle to stay, which seems impossible with a limited number of rounds remaining.
