Saturday 27-09-2025
Hans Flick, the head coach of FC Barcelona, spoke at the press conference ahead of the match against Real Sociedad tomorrow Saturday, as part of the seventh round of the Spanish league, which will take place at 7:30 PM at the Montjuïc Stadium.

Regarding injuries, Flick said: "Dealing with injuries is part of my job as a coach, and it is a challenge I always enjoy; we have a strong team despite the absences, and we focus only on what we can influence."

About Lamine Yamal and his call-up to the national team, he added: "Lamine will be ready tomorrow, but the matter of his call-up to the Spanish national team is solely the responsibility of the national coach, and from our side, we are happy for his return at this time."

On the risk of a setback for Lamine, he clarified: "I do not feel any concern about him suffering a setback; no one knows what may happen in the future, but we are confident that this is the right time for his return."

Regarding the match against Paris Saint-Germain, he continued: "Our focus now is solely on the match against Real Sociedad; after that, there will be time to prepare for the match against Paris. The most important thing is that we are going through a good winning streak and we must continue with the same spirit and prove our strength in front of our fans."

About Busquets and his retirement, he said: "We all enjoyed that team led by Busquets in midfield; it was wonderful to follow that generation."

Regarding Toni Fernandez, he commented: "It is important for Toni to train with great players; he is developing week by week, he has not participated recently, but he is a good option available to us."

On the pitch at Montjuïc Stadium, he stated: "I believe the work on the pitch has been done well and quickly, and I am very confident about its readiness."

About the match between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, he clarified: "I will definitely watch the match, as they are both great teams, and following such matches is an important part for me as a coach."

Regarding Juan Garcia's injury, he said: "The absence of Juan Garcia is unfortunate as he was performing well before his injury against Oviedo, but we have complete confidence in Szczesny, as he was with us in the most important moments of last season and contributed to winning three titles; he is a great goalkeeper and a wonderful person."

About Real Sociedad, Flick concluded his statements: "Real Sociedad has a clear style of play, relying on building from the back and has a strong and fast striker, but we also have outstanding players, and this match is an opportunity to prove our strength."
