Bernal Rejects English Premier League Temptations and Insists on Staying with Barcelona

Marc Bernal continues to insist on staying with Barcelona, rejecting all attempts from clubs interested in signing him during the summer transfer window, despite the interest he has received from several top Premier League clubs.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the young midfielder is only thinking about continuing his journey with Barcelona, emphasizing that his response to all inquiries was clear, which is to continue with the Catalan club.

Bernal has attracted the attention of several European clubs thanks to the level he displayed after returning from a knee injury. However, Barcelona is keen on keeping him and considers him one of the key elements of its future project.

The source added that the player's contract extends until 2029 and includes a release clause worth 500 million euros, underscoring the status he holds within the club.

The report indicated that Roma and Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia had previously shown interest in signing him, before Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal joined the list of interested clubs during the summer transfer window. However, this did not change the player's stance.

The same source explained that Barcelona reinforced its confidence in Bernal after his injury in the 2024/2025 season by renewing his long-term contract, ensuring that all external offers and interests had no impact on his desire to stay.
