Reports have revealed that German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has become the leading candidate to strengthen the goalkeeper position at Ajax Amsterdam during the current summer transfer window.

According to reports, the Dutch club is interested in signing the 34-year-old goalkeeper on loan from Barcelona, as it seeks to strengthen its squad with players who have experience at the European level.

The sources added that Ter Stegen is open to the idea of moving to Ajax, especially if he is assured of regular participation during the next season.
