Milan Enters the Race to Sign Barcelona Player

Marc Casado was close to leaving Barcelona during the summer transfer window due to limited playing opportunities under coach Hans Flick, while the club seeks to finalize a permanent sale deal to support its financial situation.

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that the midfielder prefers to take his time before choosing his next destination, as he requires joining a sports project that offers him the opportunity to play regularly.

The newspaper added that his agent, Jorge Mendes, continues to seek the best offer, as the player wishes to remain in Europe, despite receiving interest from Saudi clubs.

It was noted that AC Milan has shown interest in signing Casado, with negotiations led by Mendes. However, the Italian club is waiting to resolve some issues regarding departing players before moving forward to complete the deal.

The same source explained that the most likely arrangement is for the player to move to Milan on loan with a mandatory purchase option, a format that suits both parties at the moment.

Casado continues to attract interest from clubs in England and Spain, as well as Monaco, but the Italian path seems the most advanced so far, with expectations that his future will be decided in July.
