Erbil Club continues its strong performances in the Iraqi Stars League after achieving a significant victory over the Port with three goals to one, in the match held this evening at Al-Fayhaa Stadium as part of the second round.

Erbil entered the match with high spirits and succeeded in imposing its style from the beginning, quickly translating its superiority through its outstanding striker Mustafa Qabil, who opened the scoring in the 24th minute.

Qabil did not stop there; he returned to add the second goal for his team in the 35th minute, giving the visitors a comfortable lead before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Erbil continued its attacking pressure, with its Uzbek professional Sherzod Taimirov scoring the third goal in the 59th minute, widening the gap and confirming his team's superiority.

As for the Port, they tried to come back in the final minutes and succeeded in reducing the score through Abbas Yas from a penalty kick in the 81st minute, but soon received another blow after their player Mujtaba Ali was sent off with a red card in the 83rd minute, leaving them to complete the match with ten players.

With this victory, Erbil raised its points to 6 from two matches after defeating Najaf in the first round with three goals to two, confirming its strong start this season.

Meanwhile, the Port's points remained at three after winning their opening match against Naft Maysan.
