In one of the strongest and boldest statements that shook the Iraqi sports scene yesterday evening, the rock-solid defender of Al Minaa, international star Saad Natiq, came out with fiery and shocking words following the horrific injury he sustained during his team's match against Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya at the Al-Madina International Stadium in Baghdad. The injury resulted in a painful fracture in his leg bone due to the poor infrastructure and the catastrophic state of the pitch.

In the 33rd minute of the first half of the match, there were terrifying and emotional moments when veteran defender Saad Natiq sustained a severe injury that forced him to leave the pitch early, amid the shock and concern of his teammates and the coaching and administrative staff. It was later revealed that he had suffered a fracture in his leg due to the poor quality of the pitch.

International star Saad Natiq has launched a scathing attack on infrastructure and stadiums in emotional comments following his injury, saying:

I have been playing football for over 15 years, during which I have played on many football pitches around the world in various countries and levels. What I witnessed and experienced today is a real disaster.

Natiq added with a tone of great displeasure:

It is truly shameful to talk about the poor condition of the pitches in a country that has a great history in agriculture and a huge wealth of oil! How is it possible that our pitches have reached this deplorable level?

The standout defender made a bold appeal, stating:

I urge the community and relevant authorities to intervene immediately to put an end to the deteriorating condition of the stadium pitches, especially the long-standing issue at the city stadium. How can those who neglect the simplest safety requirements think about hosting the AFC Asian Cup?!

Saad Natiq's cry and his serious injury put the Football Association and the responsible government bodies in front of a historical and moral responsibility to save the lives of players and rehabilitate the infrastructure before it's too late.
