Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that Chelsea FC has decided to terminate the contract of their Ukrainian player Mykhailo Mudryk after his long absence from the pitch.

The newspaper indicated that Mudryk made the decision to retire from football permanently, intending to continue his sports career by representing Ukraine in athletics competitions as a runner.

According to the same source, the Ukrainian star has his sights set on participating in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, striving to achieve a new accomplishment for his country.

It is noteworthy that Chelsea announced in December 2024 that Mudryk failed a doping test, which led to his suspension and absence from playing football until today.
