Enriquez Denies Corruption Allegations Against Barcelona and His Father
Javier Enriquez Romero, the son of Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, denied statements attributed to him regarding accusations of "corruption" against FC Barcelona or his father, during his appearance before Judge Alejandra Gil as part of the investigations related to what is known in the media as the "Negreira Case" concerning suspected sports corruption.
Media reports had attributed to Negreira's son an admission of receiving only 70,000 euros for preparing technical reports between 2012-2018, while he confirmed that he knows nothing about the other amounts estimated at around 7.5 million euros, nor the reasons that led Barcelona to pay them.
Javier clarified that his father never informed him about the nature of the relationship he had with Barcelona, and he ended the discussion when Javier tried to ask him about it. He also emphasized that everything he did was within the framework of a specific job related to preparing reports, without any connection to other decisions or transactions.
It is noteworthy that the investigation session on September 18 saw several prominent figures appear before the judge, including Javier Enriquez Romero himself, along with former Barcelona presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu, as part of the ongoing investigations into this controversial case.
