Barcelona continues its pursuit to sign Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, while both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain refuse to give up in the race to acquire the player, according to "TEAMtalk".

According to the report, Alvarez decided during the last Christmas period that he was ready to leave this summer and has already started talks with a number of interested clubs.

The player had made Barcelona his first choice, while keeping Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain informed of his situation, alongside Chelsea's continued interest.

The report indicated that the player's agents are negotiating with Barcelona, but they do not wish to prolong the matter, while Álvarez remains open to a move to Paris or London.

The same source also explained that Arsenal is ready to give the player the role of a central striker, even though Alvarez prefers to play in his primary position in the midfield, without diminishing the English club's interest.

In a related context, the report stated that Atletico Madrid prefers to sell the player to Arsenal or clubs outside Spain, setting a price of no less than 120 million euros, amid confirmations from coach Diego Simeone that the player is sought after by several major clubs.
