Friday 19-09-2025
La Liga has announced the spending limits for the player rosters of all clubs for the 2025/2026 season, which is the amount each team can spend on its roster according to its revenues and expenses, following the end of the summer transfer market.

According to Spanish newspaper "Marca," Real Madrid topped the clubs in terms of spending capacity with a maximum limit of 761 million euros, compared to 754 million last season. Meanwhile, Barcelona has seen another decline, with its salary cap dropping to 351 million euros, down from 463 million in last winter's market.

The newspaper clarified that Barcelona had a maximum limit of no more than 204 million euros in the winter of the 2023/2024 season, before it began to gradually recover, only to now decline again. It is expected that returning to Camp Nou will be a crucial step towards restoring the club's financial balance.

Atletico Madrid maintained its third position, with its salary cap rising from 314 million euros last winter to 326 million. In contrast, Sevilla has seen a significant improvement, having a maximum limit of only 684,000 euros last season, now reaching 20 million euros, thanks to La Liga's recent decision to enforce that the minimum cap be equal to 30% of each club's turnover.

The newspaper pointed out that the cost limits for player rosters include what can be spent on players, the head coach, the assistant coach, the physical trainer, reserve teams, and youth categories, in addition to fixed and variable salaries, social security, bonuses, contracting expenses, and agent commissions, as well as depreciation.
