Iraqi coach Hassan Ahmed rejected an official offer from Al-Qasim Club's management on Thursday to take over the coaching role of the team in the Iraqi Stars League, following the resignation of coach Wameed Munir.

Ahmed stated in his remarks that his refusal was definitive due to the complicated circumstances the club is experiencing, explaining: "Al-Qasim is internationally banned from contracts and lacks the resources to help any coach build a competitive team."

The coach pointed out that his previous experiences with Al-Mina'a and Karbala were similar in terms of administrative crises and being deprived of contracts, adding: "I do not wish to repeat the same experience again."

Ahmed confirmed that Al-Qasim Club is "a big name in Iraqi football" but is suffering from a severe lack of financial support and the loss of several prominent players in recent times, which led him to refuse to take on the challenge.
