Sunday 14-09-2025
Al-Zawraa club officials are racing against time to resolve the visa issue of Jordanian player Abdullah Naseeb, who recently joined the Iraqi team, before the anticipated match against Indian Goa next Wednesday, in the first round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2.

The Iraqi team's delegation arrived in India in preparation for the match, but the club announced that the duo Abdullah Naseeb and Nigerian Ibrahim Tomiyoh would miss the trip due to delays in obtaining entry visas.

The head of the club's administrative body, Haidar Shanshul, confirmed his full support for the delegation, as he contacted the coaching staff by phone to ensure that all arrangements for training and accommodation were in place, emphasizing the importance of resolving the crisis as soon as possible to ensure the team's readiness against their Indian rival.

The group in which Al-Zawraa plays includes Saudi Al-Nassr, Indian Goa, and Tajikistan's Istiklol, making Al-Zawraa's match against Indian Goa crucial and decisive from a competitive standpoint.
