Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta appeared in press statements after the 3-0 victory over Nottingham in the fourth round of the Spanish league at the Emirates Stadium.

He said: "We delivered a great performance after the international break. When players return from their national teams, there is always a question mark about how they will react and re-integrate, winning 3-0 and keeping a clean sheet again is extremely important. Some players started for the first time, and overall the performance was very good."

Regarding Martin Zubimendi: "He is unbelievable... two very difficult goals in terms of execution. He joined the club and from the start, you can feel his strong presence and authority on the pitch; if he adds to that scoring goals, what more can we ask for?"

On the attacking trio: "I think they were fantastic, each one with their own special abilities but they complement each other excellently. Noni Madueke was brilliant again and always looks dangerous. Viktor Gyökeres played very smartly and could have scored two or three goals, and Eze brings something different, another flow to the game, and is completely unpredictable."

On the difficulty of choosing his starting lineup for upcoming matches: "This is what we want. When you look at other teams and the lineups they have built, everyone has the same thing. We want to compete at the highest level, we have already lost Kai (Havertz) for three or four months, and Bukayo (Saka) for several weeks, and that's why you need alternatives. The English league is very tough."

Regarding Odegaard's injury, he added: "It's the same shoulder injury. He wasn't comfortable continuing to play. It's unfortunate because he played with the national team and felt good, he will do everything he can to be present midweek, but I don't know yet."
