
Details of Jan Simic's Transfer to Al-Ittihad
Al-Ittihad Saudi Club is preparing to finalize the transfer of Serbian defender Jan Carlo Simic, a player from Belgian club Anderlecht, as the last hours of the ongoing summer transfer window in the Kingdom approach.
Al-Ittihad has concluded an agreement with the Belgian club to acquire Simic for an amount exceeding 20 million euros, including additional incentives, according to renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in transfer news.
The new contract extends for a full four years until June 2029, making Simic a key player in the Al-Ittihad team's project, especially since he previously had experience with Italian club AC Milan.
Romano clarified that AC Milan will receive 4 million euros, as they own 20% of the future sale value of the player, as part of the previous agreement when he transferred to Anderlecht in the summer of 2024.
Simic is considered one of the graduates of AC Milan's academy, having moved to the Belgian league for 3 million euros, before establishing himself strongly in Anderlecht's lineup during the last season.
The Serbian defender played 53 matches with the Belgian team across all competitions, scoring 4 goals and contributing 2 assists, while his current market value is estimated at 8 million euros according to the 'Transfermarkt' website.
