Inter Milan Renew Interest in Diaby
Inter Milan has reignited its interest in signing French winger Moussa Diaby from Al-Ittihad. However, the Italian club is facing strong competition from Bayer Leverkusen for the player's signature.
According to "Corriere dello Sport," Diaby is the first choice for Inter, as the player fits the attacking profile outlined by coach Cristian Kivu. Furthermore, strengthening this position does not require the club to sell one of its players first.
Bayer Leverkusen is making strong efforts to bring back Diaby, after the French winger shone with the German club from 2019 to 2023. German reports indicate that the club is close to reaching an agreement with the federation regarding the deal.
Inter is attempting to complete the transfer by offering midfielder Christian Asllani along with a cash sum, totaling around €30 million. Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen prefers to make a direct financial offer, and neither club has reached a final agreement with the federation yet.
The race to secure a deal for Diaby will be decided by the club that can first reach an agreement with the federation, as the player remains open to a return to Germany or a move to Italy.
If negotiations for the signing of Diaby falter, Inter Milan has a backup option in Nico Gonzalez, the Juventus winger, who has been offered to the Italian club for the second time in a few months.
