Al-Ittihad Signs Senegalese Dion Lopy Until 2029
Al Ittihad has officially announced the signing of Senegalese midfielder Dion Lopy, arriving from Almeria in Spain, on a contract that extends until the summer of 2029, as part of the team's deals for the new season.
The club confirmed via its official account the addition of Dion Lopy to the first team, as the Tigers continue to bolster their lineup in preparation for the upcoming sports season.
The club's sporting director, Frank Carbo, welcomed the new arrival, expressing his confidence in the player's ability to make a technical contribution, and wishing him success with the team in fulfilling the aspirations of Al-Ittihad fans.
The signing of Dion Lopy comes after intensive negotiations between the federation and Almeria, which concluded with a final agreement for the player to move to the Saudi league.
Spanish newspaper AS has reported that the transfer fee amounts to €13 million, along with €6 million in incentives and variables linked to the player's performance during his contract with the club.
The Union hopes that Deon Lobi will contribute to strengthening the midfield, benefiting from his experience in European leagues, as part of the club's plan to compete strongly for domestic and continental titles in the coming years.
