Election Committee Officially Approves Badr Al-Raziza's Candidacy for Saudi Football Federation Presidency
The Election Committee of the Saudi Football Federation has approved the preliminary lists of candidates for the sixth term, following the review of nomination files and ensuring their compliance with the governing regulations.
The election committee has opened the nomination period for the presidency and board membership of the Saudi Football Federation from July 22 to August 1.
The committee received applications from seven candidates along with their electoral lists within the specified timeframe, before one of the applicants withdrew, stabilizing the competition at six electoral lists.
The committee conducted a review and audit of the candidates' files and lists from August 2 to 7, in accordance with the announced timeline for the elections. The review process resulted in one electoral list meeting all the conditions and requirements stipulated in the regulations for the Saudi Football Federation elections.
In contrast, the five other lists could not complete the nomination requirements, as the committee noted that the candidates did not meet the necessary conditions according to the approved regulations.
The list of candidates meeting the nomination criteria includes Badr Al-Raziza, who has become the sole candidate for the presidency of the Saudi Football Federation, according to the federation's official statement.
The official announcement of the winning list is expected in the coming days, following the completion of the electoral procedures, to finally clarify the identity of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation for its sixth term.
