Al-Dhahriah Finalizes Agreement to Loan Goalkeeper Ahmed Al-Ruhaili
Friday 05-09-2025
The management of Al-Dhahriah Club has reached an agreement with its counterpart at Al-Ittifaq Club regarding the transfer of goalkeeper Ahmed Al-Ruhaili to the team on loan until the end of the current season, according to exclusive sources for "Al-Riyadiyah".

This step came after Al-Ruhaili's direction shifted from Al-Ahli to Al-Dhahriah, following failed negotiations with his previous club due to the goalkeeper's rejection of the financial offer presented by the Jeddah club during the recent negotiations.

"Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper had published on August 25 the news of the stalled transfer of the goalkeeper to Al-Ahli, prompting Al-Dhahriah to initiate its moves and get closer to finalizing the deal officially to strengthen its squad in the Yelo League.

Al-Ruhaili, who is 30 years old, is one of the prominent names that emerged from the youth categories of Al-Ahli Club, where he represented the first team for five consecutive years between 2014 and 2019, before experiencing a loan spell with Al-Ra'ed during the 2017-2018 season.

In the summer of 2019, the goalkeeper signed a permanent contract with Al-Ra'ed before moving to Al-Ittifaq last summer, from where he was loaned at the beginning of this year to Al-Nassr for six months, but he did not get the chance to participate in any match.

Al-Ruhaili's loan to Al-Dhahriah comes as an ideal option for him to regain his presence on the green rectangle, especially since he remained a substitute at Al-Ittifaq behind the Slovak goalkeeper Marek Rodak, who is the team's first goalkeeper.
