Al-Ettifaq and Al-Qadsiah share spoils in Eastern Derby in Saudi Pro League

The 'Eastern Derby' ended as expected, with Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ettifaq drawing 3-3 in an exciting match in the seventh round of the Saudi Pro League.

Al Qadisiyah opened the scoring early through Julian Quinones in the 12th minute, before Matthew Ritchie doubled the hosts' lead just three minutes later.

Bersant Celina pulled one back for Al-Ettifaq in the 26th minute, following up on an attack inside the penalty area and shooting with his left foot into the net, bringing his team back into the game.

Al-Fateh waited until the 64th minute to equalise, when Álvaro Medrán unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that settled inside the Al-Qadisiyah net.

Al Qadsiah regained their lead in the 81st minute, after Mohammed Al-Qahtani scored the third goal with a left-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area.

Al-Ettifaq refused to leave empty-handed, with Jordan Larsson managing to score the third equalizer in the 86th minute, ending the thrilling Eastern Derby with three goals for each team.

With this draw, Al Qadsiah have raised their tally to 16 points in second place in the Saudi Pro League table, while Al Ettifaq now have 11 points in seventh.
