Arteta: Proud of the Players but We Need to Find a Way to Win
Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, expressed his great pride in his players' performance despite the loss to Liverpool by a goal to nil in the third round of the Premier League, confirming that the match was decided by a magical individual moment.
Arteta said: "I am very proud of the players, I think both teams delivered a high-level match, there were no margins, and not much happened inside the penalty area, but there was a lot of work in different areas of the pitch."
He confirmed: "Such matches are decided either by an individual mistake or by an exceptional moment, and today it was decided by a magical moment."
He pointed out: "It is impossible to control the match here for 95 minutes, we went through difficult moments, and at one point the ball was in our goalkeeper's hands, but we couldn't build an attack afterwards, yet we didn't concede goals until those moments, but in such big matches, you have to find a way to win."
He added: "We were much better than last season when we drew, we had three or four chances inside the penalty area, individual situations, and Eze was in a complete one-on-one situation, we need to finish such chances if we want to win."
With this loss, Arsenal's points remained at 6, placing them in third place, while Liverpool topped the standings with 9 points after three rounds.
