Amorim: We fought until the last minute, and I was confident in Bruno
Roberto Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, expressed his happiness with the victory his team achieved over Burnley with a score of three goals to two, in the match held today at Old Trafford as part of the third round of the Premier League.
Amorim said: "We managed to achieve victory and take the 3 points, we should have finished the match in the first half, but we fought until the last minute, things were a bit complicated during the match."
He added: "In the first half, we had many chances to score, but a throw-in and a set piece made us retreat again."
Regarding the penalty that Bruno Fernandes successfully scored, he said: "I didn't see the penalty because I wanted to look at the fans, I was confident he would score it, and I didn't expect Bruno to miss two consecutive penalties."
On the transfer market, he said: "There are players who have left and others who will leave, but I am very happy with my current team and I do not expect more signings."
Regarding the players, Amorim confirmed: "After what they have shown in effort, I always love them, even when Diallo missed that chance, I still love him too."
This victory is Manchester United's first in the Premier League this season after losing to Arsenal and drawing with Fulham.
