Wolverhampton announced the signing of Czech defender Ladislav Krejčí from Girona in Spain on loan, making him the first Czech player in the club's history.

The 26-year-old defender has nearly 250 matches of experience and can play as a center-back or in midfield. The contract includes a clause that allows for a permanent transfer until 2030 if certain conditions are met.

Krejčí began his career with Zbrojovka Brno and then excelled with Sparta Prague, where he won several titles and led the team as captain to win the league after a 9-year absence. He also received the award for Best Player in the Czech League.

He participated with the Czech national team in Euro 2024, scoring the fastest goal in the team's history, and played 36 matches with Girona.
